Since 2019, the Education Division at Ramat Hanadiv has run an educational community forum to promote learning in nature.
The community meets once a month, on average, during the school year, where each meeting takes place in a different location and includes workshops that provide practical tools for learning in nature as well as familiarity with different educational spaces that foster learning in nature.
The community numbers over 150 educators and environmental activist from around the country, who share content, invitations to events, lesson plans, etc.
The field trips that have taken place within the framework of the community include:
- A meeting at a forest kindergarten at Kibbutz Hachotrim with the kindergarten teacher, Iris Betzalel, and the Forest Kindergarten educational model
- A meeting and walk along Taninim River with Amirim Elementary School in Binyamina, on the integration of a citizen science program at the school and adoption of the Taninim River space
- A meeting and nature therapy workshop at Hachita Elementary School in Zichron Ya’akov
- A meeting and workshop by Shomrei Hagan
