Final Projects on the Relationship Between Humans and Nature

In honour of the 70th anniversary of Ramat Hanadiv and 90 years since the death of Baron Edmond (Benjamin) de Rothschild, Ramat Hanadiv would like to continue his legacy and encourage excellence, creativity, investigation and learning by awarding prizes for outstanding final projects on the relationship between humans and nature.

Criteria and Conditions for Project Submission

The projects can be from different, diverse fields of knowledge: exact sciences, humanities and social sciences, arts and more – on condition that they focus on the relationship between humans and nature, in an innovative, creative and thought-provoking way.

Here are the criteria:

  • The main focus of the project is the relationship between humans and nature
  • The project was submitted during the 2023-2024 school year
  • The project was checked by an examiner on behalf of the Ministry of Education and received a grade of at least 95
  • The project expresses aspects of innovation, creativity and thinking

Examples of final projects on the relationship between humans and nature:

  • Arts and humanities: Representation of nature in books by Meir Shalev (z”l)
  • Natural sciences: The relationship between humans and wildlife in the urban space
  • Social sciences: A socioecological perspective of the relationship between humans and invasive species

Timetable and Guidelines for Proposal Submission

  • The last date for submitting the projects: Sunday, 15/9/24, 12 Elul, by midnight
  • Please note: submission of candidacy for the Ramat Hanadiv Prizes will be done through a call for proposals, which was sent via the Ministry of Education to all those who submitted final projects in 2023-2024 (starting from 25.8). In the call for proposals there is a link to an online form which must be filled out. If you submitted a 2023-2024 final project and did not receive the call for proposals, please contact us by
  • On submission, please attach an executive summary of up to half a page only, in addition to the final project itself.
  • Similarly, on submission of candidacy, please include an evaluation by the final project coordinator and the academic supervisor on the investigative and learning process conducted by the student.
  • The winning students will be notified by: Tuesday, 15/10/24, 13 Tishrei, at 4:00 pm
  • The prize ceremony – 11/11/24, 10 Cheshvan, at Ramat Hanadiv

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to the first 3 places, for an overall value of 8,000 NIS, as follows:

First place – 5,000 NIS

Second place – 2,000 NIS

Third place – 1,000 NIS

The winners will participate in a festive ceremony as part of an event in honour of the 70th anniversary of Ramat Hanadiv on 11/11/24, 10 Cheshvan 5785.
