In the Community: Activities for Local Residents

Community activities at Ramat Hanadiv focus on connecting the region’s community to values of sustainability, while improving their quality of life and strengthening their affinity for nature in general and of Ramat Hanadiv in particular. Our hope is to create a wide range of possibilities that invite the community to act: supporting community initiatives (bottom-up) while recruiting residents to our initiatives (top-down), working in Ramat Hanadiv’s divisions as well as working in the different communities surrounding it.

Shlomit is one of 14 volunteers, aged 60-85, who chose to participate in the tree monitoring project at Ramat Hanadiv Park. For five years, this young group sets out each week for a morning of fieldwork deep in the park

Ramat Hanadiv has set up two bike trails. The trails offer cyclists in the Nature Park a unique cycling experience, as they pass through a range of sites around the park.

For the Benefit of the Wildlife Corridor

In February 2022, after a decade of efforts in collaboration with community members and environmental organisations to ensure the establishment of a wide, functioning wildlife corridor between the Nature Park at Ramat Hanadiv and Alona Hills and Ramot Menashe, the regional committee approved expansion of its width to 300 m.

Community Mapping of the Urban Forest

Trees make an important contribution to the quality of life and the environment, particularly in built-up, settled areas. Ramat Hanadiv is leading a project in collaboration with the Zichron Ya’akov Local Council to map the state of the existing trees and their characteristics and plan the expansion of the urban forest.

We’re Starting a Campaign

Route 652 links Pardes Hanna-Karkur, Binyamina and Zikhron Ya’akov.
