At Ramat Hanadiv, garden waste is collected from both the Gardens and the Nature Park and transferred to the on-site composite site.
The compost site includes a number of elongated heaps at different stages of compostization.

The Footprint Garden strives to show visitors the importance of a range of organisms, both large and small, each one with its role in the overall web of life. Besides conservation of biodiversity, the garden conveys an important social message of integrating different people into the community. The garden is cared for by the green fingers of people with disabilities, who are part of the gardening staff at Ramat Hanadiv.

The Visitors Center at Ramat Hanadiv was awarded a Certificate of Excellence for its outstanding implementation of green building standards. One of the major elements contributing to the building’s high rank was its green roof and the landscaping around it. In order to create shade, a dozen plane trees had been planted at the main entrance to the garden and in the patio courtyards of the building. Four more plane trees were planted along the central pedestrian path.  This is the story of those four trees.

In the meticulous Memorial Gardens we strive to maintain a high standard, including looking after the health of the plants and their beautiful flowers. Therefore, when plants are damaged by pests we must intervene. In the Memorial Gardens, as a rule, we try to avoid using chemical poisons as much as possible by implementing environmentally friendly pest control

The little fire ant is a tiny, red ant, active day and night, which stings humans and their pets and displaces other arthropods. It causes severe harm to the ecosystem and constitutes a severe hazard to humans.

The Memorial Gardens cover an area of 7 hectares at an altitude of 130 m above sea level, and are home to about 200 plant species belonging to 163 genera and 76 families

Estimating tree condition in Ramat Hanadiv Garden was conducted with an aerial photo. The imaging included a multispectral image (RGB+NIR) and a 3D model of the garden. Data on tree types and location was provided by the garden staff.
